Floyd Arthur are my names, I am an underwriter who work with independent agents and brokers to understand and answer to the needs of the insurance buyer. I provide primary property, general liability, workers’ compensation and automobile insurance for a diverse range of commercial customers across a selection of industries, including energy-related industries, e-commerce businesses, museums, wineries, professional offices, manufacturing and multinational organizations etc. I look at risk management as attempting to identify and then supervise threats that could severely impact or bring down the organization.
Risk management was thought of Floyd Arthur as mostly a matter of getting the right insurance. Insurance coverage more often than not came in rather standard packages, so people tended to not take risk management seriously. Though, this impression of risk management has changed considerably. With the recent increase in rules and regulations, employee-related lawsuits and dependence on key resources, risk management is becoming a management practice that is each bit as important as financial or facilities management.
There are quite a lot of activities which a nonprofit organization can conduct to dramatically reduce its chances of experiencing a catastrophic event that ruins or severely impairs the organization. The activities are as follows:-
